Roma’da muhteşem bir manzara sunan Borghese Galerisi ve Müzesi, İtalya’nın en önemli ve ünlü müzelerinden biri. 1613 yılında, Roma’nın prestijli Borghese ailesinin üyesi olan Kardinal Scipione Borghese tarafından kurulmuştur. Müze, İtalya’nın en büyük ve en önemli sanat eserleri koleksiyonlarından biridir.
Geleneksel İtalyan mimarisinin güzelliğini taşıyan müzenin dış cephesi, zarif süslemeleri ve çeşitli heykelleriyle çok çekici. İçeride, çok sayıda antik eserlerin yanı sıra, İtalyan barok sanatçılarının çalışmalarının da sergilendiği çok sayıda odalar bulunuyor.
Borghese Galerisi ve Müzesi’ne gelenlerin öncelikle görmeleri gerekenler arasında, Raffaello Sanzio’nun eserleri ve Antonio Canova’nın heykelleri yer alıyor. Bu müzede, Caravaggio’nun en ünlü tablosu olan “San Giovanni Battista”, Rubens’in “David ve Goliath” ve “Perseus’un Medusa’yı Öldürmesi” gibi çok sayıda ünlü sanat eseri bulunuyor.
Borghese Galerisi ve Müzesi, Roma’da kültürel bir ziyaret için mükemmel bir seçenek. Müze, antik Roma heykelleri, İtalyan barok sanatının en önemli örnekleri, Raffaello Sanzio’nun eserleri ve çok sayıda ünlü sanat eserinin korunmasının yanı sıra, müzeyi ziyaret etmek için ideal bir yer.

Gem of a museum! The highlights of Bernini are of course at the beginning of the visit, but be sure to continue on as this museum has so many great works. There's a few seats throughout, so make sure to just sit and take it all in. When visiting, it's the first building you see when you get into the park area. We walked right past it as it was quite unassuming. The park area is very nice to walk around in as well!
Not very big. I think 4/5 exhibition rooms. But artistically decorated and visually pleasing wall paintings. The ticket costs 15 euros. I came on Tuesday but all the tickets for that day were sold out, so I bought a ticket for the next day. You can get access 10 minutes before the time slot written in the ticket. It's better to boom early if you are on a tight schedule.
Came on a Friday at 4pm. They have you check in all of your bags unless you have a tiny purse. Opted not to do a guided tour and instead bought their tickets ahead of time, directly from their website for $17. Also, purchased an audio guide in person for another $5. Their map and audio guide was not intuitive and has no logical order. We were told to start from #7. Ended up asking the staff to tell us where we were on the floor map. Some of the displays would tell you which audio # to listen to, others did not. There is no place to sit and rest so expect to walk around slowly and constantly looking up.. it's hard on your back! We did a food tour prior to this and we were exhausted. Recommend not booking this back to back with other walking events. The paintings and sculptures were beautiful but art history just isn't our thing. Glad we didn't purchase a tour, they were pricey and would've taken way longer.
